The New Choir is celebrating its tenth season with a
multi-city performance tour in South Korea. This tour is
being sponsored by various civic and arts organizations in Korea including:
:: Farewell Performance for the New Choir's Multi-City Korea Tour (May 23, Palo Alto, CA) The New Choir proudly presents the Farewell Concert. We invite you to share the joy of the wonderful music from out last 10 years. We're extremely excited to highlight our 10th year with a multi-city tour in South Korea in June. As a kick-off for the tour, we will have a concert on May 23rd to present a large selection of pieces from the Korea Tour repertoire. Please come and join us in celebrating our tenth season and the kick-off of the Korea Tour. New Choir Venues (2009 - 2010)
Tickets (US performances) Admission: $20 - General, $15 - Groups, $12 - Seniors/Students For more information, Since its founding in 2000, the New Choir has been performing two scheduled performances each year; one in Spring or Summer and the other at Christmas. The choir also makes numerous guest appearances throughout the year. The programs and selected live recordings from the past concerts are provided below. Coelos Ascendit Hodie (Stanford) Komm, Jesu, Komm (Bach) Kyrie (Dufay, Palestrina, Beethoven) Jacob's Ladder (Nak-Keum Baik) Christmas carols from all around the world. Program included works by Stanford, Lauridsen, Poulenc, Victoria, Mozart, Mechem and others. Magnificat Ave Maria O Magnum Mysterium Regina Coeli An evening of sacred music with works from the 16th century through today. The program included works by J.S. Bach, Britten, Byrd, Duruflé, Purcell, Tallis and many others. In the beginning If ye love me Sing Joyfully Jubilate Deo The New Choir was invited to perform at the 2006 American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Western Division Convention in March, 2006 at Salt Lake City, Utah. It's a great honor to receive an invitation to an ACDA convention and we were very excited to have been selected to perform. The convention took place from March 1 to March 4. We performed on the first day of the convention and, to our surprise and delight, our program was very well received. (We even got a standing ovation!) We will provide more details and photos soon. Our first concert tour in
Los Angeles took place during June 25th to June 26th and was a great
success. The choir performed two concerts and was received
enthusiastically by the lovers of choral music in Los Angeles. For the beauty of the earth. A sonic tour of the wonders of our nature with songs about mountains, water, birds, and nature.
